Italian Language Courses

Full immersion in the Italian language

DA Siena operates a unique system of Continuous Enrolment in which students are able start a course on just about any Monday of the year depending on the individual’s language level. There are six different language levels which are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Students take a written and spoken placement test in order to assess the most appropriate language level. All courses are intensive and cover as many linguistic areas as possible which is ideal for those who are looking forward to learning Italian in Italy.

NUMBER OF STUDENTS PER CLASS:

The minimum number of students in group courses is 5, maximum is 12 and the average is 10.

COURSE FEES INCLUDE:

Didactic material except for text books (book costs from € 20,00 to € 35,00 depending on language level), certificate of attendance, full orientation of the school and the city of Siena upon arrival, social activities (except transportation fees, meals and entrance tickets), and assistance with police registration.

REGISTRATION FEE FOR SIENA:

School registration fee: €30,00 (without accommodation placement) // School registration + accommodation placement: €70,00 per student will be added to the tuition fees.

REGISTRATION FEE FOR ISCHIA/VITERBO:

Registration fee of €70,00 will be added to the total fees which cover accommodation placement course enrolment, books and didactic material.

SCHOLARSHIPS & FAVOURABLE CONDITIONS:

Each year at Dante Alighieri Siena, we offer several scholarships to Italian Culture Institutes, Dante Alighieri Committees, Clergy and consecrated orders, foreign Universities and Italian schools abroad.

  • If you already hold a Soc. Dante Alighieri membership card you are entitled to fee reductions on certain course. Please contact the booking office for more information.
  • If you are member of Clergy or from a consecrated order you are entitled to fee reductions on certain course. Please contact our booking office for more information.
  • Please contact the closest Italian Institute or Italian Embassy and apply for one of our scholarships at their disposal.
