Rome is one of the most charming cities in the world, with a surplus of spirit, charisma and beauty. It is the perfect city to wander and explore. Each turn surprises you with something more unique and memorable. With so many roads, piazzas and picturesque alley-ways to choose from, it may be difficult to decide which direction to go in. We do, however, suggest a favourite of many. Hidden just off Piazza Navona, lies one of our favourite streets in Rome, Via dei Coronari.
We relish in its distinctly affluent local atmosphere and serene ambience of movie-set perfect building facades and well-dressed Romans. You can often find many locals standing in cafés chatting and enjoying short espressos, well-dressed youngsters gathering around the fountain or zipping by on their scooters or vintage bicycles.
Filled with picturesque stores selling art, antiques, clothing, perfume and jewellery you can slowly stroll the street in sweet enjoyment as you take in the character of this street. At the trattorias, cafés and restaurants, you can enjoy delicious cuisine, pastries and panini, read a book or simply sip on a caffé as you observe the animated people around you. Make sure to not leave without visiting a gelaterie and experience authentic home-made Italian ice-cream.
Take our word for it as it might just become your daily spot when visiting Rome.
